2006 SILVER CIRCUIT AWARD WINNERS

While many love to show Saddlebred horses, there is a solid core population of Northwesterners that primarily enjoys breeding and raising the next generation of show horses. The Northwest Saddlebred Futurity promotes the American Saddlebred by offering encouragement to Northwest breeders to breed American Saddlebred horses.

In addition to the goal of continually improving the quality of American Saddlebred horses, and by rewarding excellence in breeding outcomes, the Futurity serves to create a population of locally available animals both to increase breed exposure and to provide a ready resource of talent for the regional population.

The Futurity establishes monetary rewards for excellence in breeding and fosters competition between breeders. These programs reveal the merits of various breeding philosophies, provide incentives to improve the quality of animals available, and foster friendly competition between breeders.  In 2005 the NWSA introduced the NWSA Amateur Futurity.

Don't forget! Futurity Nominations are due June 15!
